Hummingbird

Hummingbirds are some of the smallest species of birds. They're we'll known for their hovering and quick dart like flight. This is due to the fact that their wings flap at about 60 times a second. Hummingbirds can fly in any direction, almost like a helicopter. They use their long beaks to get the nectar from elongated flowers (like the machette), with the use of their long tongue that laps it up. By drinking the nectar the hummingbird gets pollen on it's beak and carries it to the next flower, pollinating it. The sky walk in Monte Verde has many hummingbird feeders which makes it easy to see many different types of hummingbird. The only hard part is getting a good picture.
