MUSHROOMS!

These mushrooms were found along side a damp log in the Monte Verde Rain Forest. Located at the Sky Walk, along a the path that meanders through the dense forest from bridge to bridge. It was a spectacular find if I do say so myself. It was like something out of Alice in Wonderland. The mushrooms were about one inch tall and together stretched about one foot wide and a little over two feet long. I'm unsure as to the type of mushroom but I would probably bet it wouldn't be a good idea to eat them. Mushrooms are very prevelant in the rain forests of Costa Rica. You just have to keep your eyes open and look in damp places along wood that may be rotting. Another great place to find them is on the floor of the forest where the leaves are decaying.
