Saturday Lecture and Field Trip Series
Dunes Restoration

Presented by local experts on the natural history of the central coast and mountain regions.

When: Saturday afternoons. Lectures usually begin at 1:30 pm followed by an optional 1-2 hour field trip to local sites.
Where: at the PCA Field Research Station at Gazos Creek or in the town of Pescadero (see flyer for location). Refreshments will be provided.
Cost: $5 donation suggested. Children welcome!

Some lectures are offered at the Native Sons Hall, Stage Rd., Pescadero. Check the event announcements (below) for location, time and other details

Hike-A-Thon Fundraiser

Join us as we remove European Dune Grass and Pampas Grass, two extremely invasive species that are destroying native dune habitats in one of the most beautiful natural dune areas on the coast. Work continues at Franklin Point (part of Año Nueve State Reserve). More...

When: First Saturday of each month -- 10 am to 2 pm
Where to meet: At the beach access parking area south of the Gazos Creek Beach House Gas Station. The project is suitable for all ages 7 and older. Tools and gloves are provided, thanks to a grant from the Bella Vista Foundation.
