Patricia Winters, with the help of live, tame bats, will share her knowledge
and enthusiasm for bats. The accompanying slide presentation shows the tremendous diversity of the order Chiroptera, and deals with the many myths and misconceptions about these beneficial mammals.
Ms. Winters is one of the few individuals in California licensed to possess live bats for educational purposes. She is a full-time educator and wildlife rehabilitator with the California Bat Conservation Fund.When: 1:30 pm

Cost: $5 suggested donation per person or family
(children welcome if they do not interfere with the speaker)Directions: Take Hwy 1 north from Santa Cruz. Turn Right on Gazos Creek Road (at the lighthouse gas station after Costanoa, 2 miles before the Pescadero Lighthouse). Take Gazos Creek Rd. 6 windy miles till it dead-ends. Enter the gate on the left and we will direct you to parking.
